How to Use Challenges

Challenges add an optional goal to your Apex workouts. You can train on your own or, when available, invite a friend to participate.

Choose a challenge

  1. Open Challenges.

  2. Select a solo or friend challenge.

  3. Review the goal, rules, duration, price if any, and included features.

  4. Confirm the challenge only after you understand its conditions.

Some challenges may require a purchase. Apple processes App Store payments, and the final price is shown before you confirm.

Join a solo challenge

  1. Select a solo challenge.

  2. Review its description and target.

  3. Complete the purchase step if required.

  4. Open the challenge details.

  5. Tap Start workout when you are ready to contribute progress.

Complete workouts through the result screen so eligible repetitions can be added to the challenge.

Invite a friend

  1. Select a friend challenge.

  2. Review and confirm the challenge.

  3. Choose the option to invite a friend.

  4. Share the generated invite link or code using a method you trust.

  5. Wait for your friend to join, then check participant status in the challenge details.

Anyone with access to an active invite link or code may be able to use it. Share it only with the intended participant and avoid posting it publicly.

Follow challenge progress

Open the challenge details to review:

  • the challenge goal;

  • your current progress;

  • participant status;

  • remaining time; and

  • the next available action.

If a completed workout does not appear, confirm that the session was saved and that it was completed during the challenge period.

Set a reminder

If reminders are available, open the challenge and select Set reminder. Choose a time, then allow notifications when iOS asks. You can change notification permission later in iOS Settings.

Keep challenges healthy

Challenge goals are motivational and do not replace rest, safe exercise form, or medical advice. Train within your ability and stop if you experience pain, dizziness, unusual shortness of breath, or other concerning symptoms.
